Editorial Ramblings : When life throws you a curve ball, what do you do?

Editorial Ramblings

Life throws you a curve ball and if you don’t duck in time it might just do more damage than anticipated. We can never be 100% sure where we are headed. Yes sure, we have an idea or our goals drive us but we can never be sure of what to expect along our journey to get there.

At times we might feel so positive about the where, the how’s, and the how-to-get-there’s that if we add any more positivity, we’d probably attract a continent. Then as quick as I-told-u-so, we can be down that deep black-oh-so-lonely-whole. We feel sorry for ourselves and feel that no one loves us. The world owes us suddenly everything and we are just one sad case. There’s nothing wrong with feeling this way, though it should just be limited. If we know and experience these types of feelings, we’d appreciate the positive of this so much more.

I think when life does throw you a curve ball and it hits you, it’s how you take the blow. Do you recognize why it happened? Do you tell yourself “I told you so!” ? Do you blame external forces for what or why it happened? All of the time, there’s reasons for what happens to us? How do you deal with it? How do you know what the lesson was?

I believe it doesn’t make a difference on how you deal with it, just as long as you do! It may take you a few days, weeks, months or years and different people will deal with things in different ways. Our Guardian Angels are with us especially through times like these. Ask them for guidance and for comfort and you'll be surprised at the opportunities and coincidences around you. One thing I have learned is that as long as you give yourself time – though not eternity – to deal with things, you’ll benefit from it no matter how bad it seemed at first.

Allow yourself to feel the hurt, sadness or any other emotion it may involve. Do remember though to get back on your feet and look the world in the eye, you need to deal with it! Whatever ‘it’ may be!

The World doesn’t owe you anything, You owe yourself the World!

Blessed Be
